So I was delighted that Meredith Baxter Birney came out and is with her partner. I read more in People magazine the other day. A psychologist made a comment about it being more common for women to come out later in life as sexuality is not fixed in the brain, there can be flexibility in that process. I know for me, there has been a continuum, so to speak. Perhaps that explains those who know for sure that they are attracted to the same sex at the age of 12, while there are many who do not know until they are older. Is it conscious or unconscious. Is it merely circumstantial. I believe I will do a survey to this respect. I believe I have always been open and liberal about sexual preference and curious about homosexuality, but when I met my ex-husband in college, I was definitely attracted to him. But now, as an older women, I can appreciate good looking men, but have only been attracted to women.
